Cole Hauser Hints at Possible Yellowstone Spin-off for Rip and Beth

Could Rip and Beth Get Their Own Show? Cole Hauser Hints at Yellowstone Spin-off

The Dutton saga might be ending with season five, but Taylor Sheridan's western empire appears poised for expansion. Sheridan, who's already helmed spin-offs like 1883 and 1923, recently sparked rumors of a new Yellowstone spinoff featuring Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly's characters, Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton.

Hauser, while discussing the record-breaking drama's upcoming finale, hinted at a continuation of Rip and Beth's love story. He acknowledged his focus on "concluding Yellowstone on a high note" before revealing there might be "developments in store" for his character.

"The future remains to be seen," Hauser admitted, "but I know Taylor has some concepts brewing for Kelly and myself, along with other cast members. I'm eager to see where his creativity takes us, but for now, the priority is delivering a powerful final season."

Hauser and Reilly have been Yellowstone mainstays since its 2018 debut. The show features Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the Dutton family's patriarch and owner of the largest ranch in the country. News of the show's conclusion with season five surfaced in May of last year.

This isn't the first time whispers of a Rip and Beth spin-off have swirled. In a March interview, Reilly, while emphasizing her focus on "completing the main series with the utmost care and dedication," acknowledged "conversations" regarding the characters' futures. However, she cautioned fans against speculation, stating, "There's a lot of unfounded rumors out there. Let's just wait and see what unfolds."

Yellowstone's current and final season premiered in November 2022, with the midseason finale airing in January 2023. The remaining episodes are slated for release this November. While the fate of a Rip and Beth spin-off remains uncertain, Paramount Network confirmed a present-day Yellowstone sequel titled "2024" in June. Additionally, the prequel series 1944 is also in the works.
