Thank you, Ty: When and why Graham Wardle quit Heartland after 14 seasons

Many people love the drama series Heartland, and Season 15 is about to start on US Netflix. The last episode of Season 14 played in December 2021 in the US.

Fans all over the world are looking forward to Amy's next story, but many are still trying to understand how Ty Borden, played by the charming Graham Wardle, died in season 14 of the popular TV show.

And Graham Wardle quit the cast of Heartland because he thought it was time to end that part of his career on the show and start over with a new task.

The actor who is loved by many said on the Heartland YouTube channel, "After being a part of Heartland for 13 years, this show has really been a blessing and a gift in my life. I'm so grateful to have had this chance to grow and to work with so many other creative people—it's been a beautiful chapter in my life."

He told them that he had been "feeling this call to move on" from Heartland for a while and that he had "been trying to bargain with it" before leaving the show at the end of season 13.

It's been a few years since I thought about and tried to figure out how to honor myself, make this change, and respect the show. In the end, it took a long time, but I'm now following my heart. I have no idea where it will lead me, but that's what life is all about.

It was also said by the 36-year-old that he and his character had hit a "internal tipping point" and that "once you reach that point, you can't turn back."

"The Heartland production team and I are so thankful and blessed that they worked with me to make this transition away that honors everyone involved." It's really hard to keep the characters in this story real and full of life while dealing with how the world and the people in it are always changing.

Wardle first went on the show when he was 21 years old, in 2007. Since he left Heartland in 2021, he hasn't been in any big TV or movie projects.

In season 14, how and why did TY Borden die?

When Ty Borden was shot in the season 13 end, a blood clot formed in his veins and spread through his body. This caused him to die in the first episode of Heartland's 14th season.

There was a wolf coming toward Amy and Ty in Heartland season 13 episode 10. They were on their way to the building site.

Someone else was also looking at the wolf and saw it move toward the two farmers. They missed their shot to warn the wolf, and Amy and Ty were hit in the shoulder and side.

While they were getting medical care at the nearby hospital, Ty had formed a blood clot from the gunshot wound that would slowly start to move through his body's circulation system.

Ty fell to the ground while putting one of the ranch's horses in a stall. Amy and Jack rushed to his side, but he is already not responding.

The episode goes to black and then jumps ahead a year. We see Amy and her friends still trying to deal with the terrible loss. A doctor then tells them that Ty died from a DVT.

The 15th season of Heartland will be available on Netflix in the US on May 31, 2023. Season 16 ended earlier this year on the Canadian network CBC, and production on season 17 has already begun.
