She mentioned that she and Kurt Russell had been considering alternative locations. Palm Desert is an attractive option, as they see it as a safer environment than Los Angeles, which she now describes as "terrible," reflecting her changed perspective.

Hawn described the two break-ins, noting that in both cases, intruders attempted to gain access to their property. In one incident, individuals successfully entered the home and searched the rooms.

She recounted details of one burglary, explaining, "They knocked down my door completely, which is a secure door, indicating a high level of sophistication. They took away many of my valuables. "

Just as they were beginning to recover from the first break-in, a second burglary occurred only four months later. This second event significantly influenced Hawn's perspective, leading her to reconsider Los Angeles as their long-term home. The experience left her feeling uneasy, and she said she now finds it difficult to feel completely safe in her own home.
